MICRO ENTERPRISE
DEVLINK took herself to task to address the long standing poverty among her clients, Devlink purposed to implement other health interventions so as to reduce the effects of diseases, and improve the quality of lives of these clients. Devlink Africa further learnt that the interventions faced a myriad of challenges including a lack of willingness to actively participate in the health interventions; Devlink further learnt that there were a number of men and women who were committed to financial development but still didn't do well.
The organization's programs coordinator then went down to seek for a solution that would strengthen the health programs and maintain a good living standard among the project beneficiaries, this then stimulated the urge to create an economic empowerment strategy that saw the rebirth of the micro enterprise scheme. DEVLINK has since trained her Community Health Workers and other clients in various Income Generating Activity skills including production in the cottage industry.
Production of detergents, natural fragrance, candles and other basic products has created the urge to earn extra income as well as maintaining the organization’s programs running.
